FACE CARE TIPS ACCORDING TO YOUR SKIN TYPE
(Find out what fits your skin)
Before you start with your recommended routine you need to know your skin type. If you are not sure here is some general information about skin types:
NORMAL SKIN
Normal skin is hard to describe, but the general descriptions is that it is not oily or dry. Even if oiliness and dryness appear it is very easy to be resolved. Normal skin doesn’t have shine, and it`s not flaky or cracked.
DRY SKIN
Your skin usually feels parched and tight after you wash it. There may also be scaly patches or flaking on your skin. Even if you moisturize in the morning, patches will become flaky within a few hours.
OILY SKIN
Your face is oily almost all over. People with oily skin have a great deal of shine on their face.
COMBINED SKIN
Combined skin contains features of two or more skin types. In most cases your nose, chin and forehead are oily, but the skin around your eyes and your cheeks often feels dry. This is the most common skin type but the hardest to maintain because you are dealing with both dry and oily skin.
SENSITIVE SKIN
Sensitive skin can have the characteristics of dry, oily or combines skin. But people with sensitive skin deal with a great amount of redness and irritation. Your cheeks flush easily and you experience a burning sensation when you wear certain products.
And here are some tips:
SKIN CARE TIPS FOR NORMAL AND COMBINED SKIN
If you have normal or combined skin you can cleanse your skin just with soap. But remember not to scrub your face, put soap on your fingertips and gently apply it to your face. Rinse your face with warm water and pat dry. Then moisturize your face while your skin is damp from the washing. Cleanse/wash your face at least two times a day (morning and evening).
SKIN CARE TIPS FOR OILY SKIN
Your skin already has excess oil so the goal is not to add oil but to remove it from your skin. This is why people with oily skin should always stay away from skin products that contain oils. When cleansing/washing don`t use products that contain oils, and always rinse your skin with plenty of warm water Moisturize your skin after washing.
SKIN CARE TIPS FOR DRY SKIN
Don`t clean/wash your skin with products that contain alcohol and fragrances. When washing your skin be very gentle, and rinse it with warm water (never use hot water). Moisturize your skin after washing. Using natural oils can be very beneficial for people with dry skin, because it helps to balance oil production. Exfoliate once a week but use gentle scrubs.
SKIN CARE TIPS FOR SENSITIVE SKIN
When washing/cleansing don`t use products that have alcohol, soap, acid and fragrances. Don`t exfoliate often. Use products with calming ingredients like aloe, chamomile, green tea etc. When you moisturize apply product only to the dry areas of your face.
And remember- no matter your skin type always wear sun screen.
