Rice water recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 cup rice (any kind will work)
1 ½ cups water or
3-4 cups of water (if you boil it)
Preparation and use:
Remove the dirt from the rice by rinsing it. Put the rice in a bowl and put 1 ½ cups of warm water over it, stir the rice for 15-20 minutes until the water turns cloudy. Separate the water from the rice, pour the water into a container and refrigerate.
You can also boil the rice to make rice water. Just put ½ cup of rice and 3 cups of water in a pot. Put the pot on medium heat and stir occasionally, when the water starts boiling remove it from the heat. Separate the water, pour in a container and refrigerate.
Keep the rice water in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4-5 days. After 4- 5 days, you must discard any leftover rice water.
Depending on your needs you can make different amount of rice water. You can use it as face wash, hair wash, to drink. You can also use it as toner by dabbing a cotton pad in the rice water and rubbing it all over your face and neck. You can also use it as a face mist by putting it in a spray bottle. Rice water can be used on any skin type.
