THE BENEFITS OF FACE MISTS
(Health info and tips)

Facial mists are a water-based skincare product that is applied using a spray. It boosts many different properties, but is most commonly known for hydration.

Our energy often plummets midday, along with our skin’s dewy and rested morning glow. Instead of splashing cold water on your face in the bathroom, try a facial mist that will help to restore the glow, while offering numerous other benefits. Face mists are best as on-the-go hydrators, spritzed on whenever your skin feels uncomfortable or tight during the day, or you just feel like you need a pick-me-up.

Face mists work through a process called vasoconstriction, the narrowing of blood vessels. Misting our faces to generate vasoconstriction can achieve many ends: it is known to increase blood flow to the brain, regulate body temperature and maintain homeostasis (the overall functioning of our bodies).

Mists are very easy to use. Place the bottle at a distance of 15-20 centimeters from your face, press the dispenser and start spraying. Move the bottle so that the mist covers the entire face.

Face mists hydrate your skin and lock in the hydration. They can refresh and rejuvenate the skin, and can also improve your mood (when using the right essential oils). They also minimize the drying effects of indoor heating. Depending on the ingredients facial mists can soothe irritated skin, brighten your skin, keep skin oils in check, set or refresh your makeup, slow the aging process of the skin, eliminate inflammations and redness, return skin elasticity, relieve tightness and discomfort, give your face a natural boost and glow.

When using face mist it is important to be informed about the skin type or skin problem you have. Some ingredients (herbs, essential oils etc.) can be harmful for the skin if they aren`t appropriate for your skin.  Also you need to be careful about overusing face mists because they can have the opposite effect and dry your skin, so use them in moderation. There are also some face mists that contain sunscreen, be careful they are not a replacement for sunscreen.
