THE MIND- MASTER OR ALLY

When we come to the subject of Mind, we speak of one of the fundamental subjects of being, knowledge and reality. As part of the yoga practice the mind is the source of all suffering, and in being part of our nature we all fall to the Mind`s paradoxical traps. But what is also part of our nature is the urge to seek answers beyond our perception and understanding.
This urge of seeking is present in the early forms of Yoga as mind exercises. There weren’t many asanas and other popular techniques that we know of today. Yoga was based only on sitting positions and meditation. The purpose of this was reconnecting and educating the source of our suffering- the Mind. The existential problems of the human mind are more or less the same as 5000 years ago, but the distractions are not the same. We are all victims of this world, our world, but our world is only part of our mindset.

This is why the subject of Yoga is reconnecting with the Mind. Yoga clearly states that there is no such a thing as taking control of the Mind because you cannot take control of something with limitless potential. There are more effective methods of calming and educating the mind, like asanas, mudras, bandhas etc. The purpose of this techniques it`s slowly to take control of our body and through relaxing the body we relax part of the Mind.
The process of making an ally of the Mind it`s an individual process, it takes different time for every single person and it takes a lot patience. There is no quick fix or a shortcut when it comes to the Mind.
