NATURAL BLACKHEADS REMOVAL MASKS
(plus do`s and don’ts tips)

Blackheads occur when pores become clogged. They appear when a hair follicle becomes clogged with sebum and debris. Blackheads are a mild form of acne lesion that can appear all over the body.
Generally you’ll find blackheads on the face, but they can also be seen on the back, shoulders, neck, chest, and arms.

Blackheads are caused by over production of oil, which is why people with oily skin (like me) have this problem more often. Also blackheads can be caused by hormonal change, improper sleep position (sleeping only on one side), sweat, alcohol, smoking.

Before we get to the face masks, there are few things you need to remember. There isn`t a onetime permanent remedy, you need to find what skin treatment (exfoliations, masks, skin products etc.) works for you and add them to your routine (do them at least two times a week). Personally I experimented a lot to get this problem under control. If you have very oily skin always avoid oil based cosmetics, don`t over exfoliate your skin (two times a week is enough), use face cleansers with salicylic acid, if you have the habit of steaming you face minimize it, always moisturize your skin after skin treatment.

My advice for this face mask is try them all (they are really easy to make), and find what works for you.

Here are the face masks:

MASK 1

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon water

Make a paste with the ingredients. Apply it on face by massaging it gently for 2 minutes. Leave it for 3 minutes. Wash it away with warm water.

MASK 2

Ingredients:
1 egg white
cotton pads

Wisk the egg white just a little. Soak the cotton pad in the egg white, apply it on the skin. Leave it for 20 minutes, the peel it off.

MASK 3

Ingredients:
2-3 green tea (brewed)
2-3 teaspoons sugar

Make green tea and mix 2 teaspoons of green tea with 2 teaspoons of sugar. Gently scrub your skin with circular motion. Wait 15 minutes and wash it off with cold water.

MASK 4

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
cotton pad

Mix the ingredients, make a paste. Apply them on skin and add a cotton pad over it.  Leave it 5-10 minutes, and then peel it off.

MASK 5

Ingredients:
2 teaspoons of oatmeal
3 teaspoons of yogurt
lemon juice (from half a lemon)

Mix the ingredients and apply them on skin. Leave it for 10 minutes and wash it off.

MASK 6

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon of sea salt
1 teaspoon of water
½ teaspoon of lemon juice

Apply the mixed ingredients on the affected places in circular motions. Leave it to dry for 10-15 minutes and wash it off with warm water.

One last tip clay and activated charcoal masks, or combination of both  are also recommended for blackhead treatment.
