THE
MANY USES OF ACTIVATED CHARCOAL
(Health info and tips)
Activated charcoal is very similar to common charcoal, but
is made specifically for medicinal use. When manufactured; common charcoal is
exposed to gases that create activated charcoal. This process creates special “pores”,
these “pores” give activated charcoal the ability to trap chemicals.
Here are some of the uses of activated charcoal:
1.
Whiten your teeth (use it 2-3 times a week)
Wet the tooth brush and put some charcoal
on it. Brush your teeth especially the affected areas.
Be careful not to make a mess because you
can stain your floor, furniture etc. If
you have crowns, caps or porcelain veneers don’t use it.
2.
Alleviate gas and bloating
Take 500 milligrams with a full glass of
water one hour before meal. It works by binding the gas-causing byproducts in
foods that cause discomfort.
3.
Toxin removal
Take 50- 100 grams, 10- 25 for children,
you can also use it on animals. Always drink a lot of water when using
activated charcoal.
Activated charcoal can be used in cases of
food poisoning when nausea and diarrhea are present. Most organic compounds, pesticides,
mercury, fertilizer and bleach bind to activated charcoal’s surface, allowing
for quicker elimination, while preventing the absorption in the body.
If you
have serious poisoning always consult a doctor.
4.
Skin care
It is used for acne treatment, soothing poison
ivy and poison oak rashes, insect bites treatment. Combine it with aloe vera
gel, or coconut oil for this type of use. You can also use it as a detox face
mask in combination with green clay.
Regular use of activated charcoal (two times a day) has many
benefits for the body. Because it cleanses the body from toxins, this whole
process helps the internal organs. This process helps with high cholesterol, better
cell regeneration, reduces joint pain, and promotes better mental function.
Caution:
If you are pregnant or breast feed you can use it short term. If you have
intestinal obstruction don`t use it. Always consult with your doctor before
regular use.
