FLAX SEED REMEDIES FOR CONSTIPATION
(2 easy to make recipes) 

Flax seed has been one of the most popular and most used remedy for soothing the digestive system. It is one of the best ingredients to relive constipation, and sooth intestinal and stomach inflammation. 

The whole seed contains mucilage. Mucilage is a slimy, gum-like compound (very rich in fiber) that helps the digestive system. This mucilage is released from flax seeds when it it’s in contact with water (or liquids). One of the best ways to relive constipation is to make flax seed release the mucilage and then consume it. 

Here are some remedies:

Remedy 1

Ingredients:
10 gr. flax seeds 
100 ml. water

Preparation:
Put the ingredients together in a container (glass, bowl etc.) and leave then for 6 hours. Stir them occasionally.  Drain the liquid, and take 2-4 tablespoon a day. If you make larger amount you can keep it in the freezer, but don`t keep it more than 2-3 days. 

Remedy 2

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons flax seeds
1 liter water

Preparation:
Put the ingredients together in a pot and boil them on low heat. Boil until half of the water evaporates. Drain it. And drink 150 ml. of the liquid three times a day before meal. Do this for 20 days. You can keep the remedy in the freezer, but don`t keep it for more than 2-3 days.

If you don`t like or can`t stand the taste of these remedies you can add some ingredients while you are making them or after to change the remedy`s taste. You can add herbs like mint, anise etc. 
Also you can add few drops of lemon juice and one teaspoon of honey before drinking to change the taste. 

Caution: If you have bleeding disorder, gastrointestinal obstruction, hormone sensitive condition, hypertriglyceridemia, low or high blood pressures do not consume flax seeds. If you have diabetes consult with your doctor before use.
